Subject: Availability of EtherWORKS 3 Packet Driver
To: mail11:;@us1rmc.bb.dec.com@us1rmc.bb.dec.com (@packet_external)
Hello,
I am sending you this mail because you either may have participated in
Field Testing a Packet Driver for Digital's EtherWORKS 3 card(DE203, DE204
or DE205). Or may have contacted Crynwr software in the past looking for
an EtherWORKS 3 Packet driver.
In any event this mail message is to announce that an EtherWORKS 3(DE203,
DE204 and DE205) Packet Driver (V1.0) is now available. This new driver has
been tested and certified by CRYNWR software. External field test sites have
used the following software packages successfully with the driver:
Trumpet Winsock v1.0 rev.A
QVTNet v3.9
KA9Q
Hummingbird eXceed
Windows Mosaic V2.0 Alpha 4(using FTP's PCTCP and Trumpet Winsock)
Gopher+
FTP PCTCP V2.3
Kermit V3.13
Minuet V1.0 BETA 15
NCSA Telnet
TERMIN.COM(Crynwr Software)
ICE.TCP(James River group)
PC Gopher 3.0
Etherload / Netcure V1.8
A copy of the EtherWORKS 3 Native Packet Driver V1.0 can be obtained as follows:

It seems to me that the current AMPR.ORG master domain/hosts list may be
somewhat out of date. If each of the coordinators could send in a recent
list to the ampraddr robot, we could bring this listing up to date.
By the way, efforts are underweigh to make the robot more reliable and
less prone to believing erroneous data. Until that's done, we'll keep
the old one in operation.
Thanks!
- Brian
